Umorpha is a software systems collective founded by Jason Prince and me in 2017. The collective's name was inspired by the Eumorpha pandorus moth species.
We are currently focused on developing Meshy – a fog computing framework with a reconfigurable/parametric architecture – and Nostos, its primary sandbox project.
Meshy
Meshy is an open source fog computing solution designed to minimize risk intrinsic in an increasingly connected and automated future. Meshy makes it easy for developers to create connected, automated systems that are secure, robust, and decentralized. The connection manager allows devices to establish private networks across many types of existing infrastructure; all communication is kept as local as possible.
Nostos
The Nostos application is a synchronized, fog-based/cloud-optional music library that collects detailed play history data for analysis. Nostos is the primary Meshy sandbox project and will reach v1 well before Meshy.
