Called Great Spirit Path, the public trail is a single poem broken down into 53 verses spread over three-quarters of a mile throughout the park. Each verse is represented by a large stone sculpture based on Native American pictographs used by the artist Susan C. Dunlap.

The result is a contemplative walking path guided by the 53 poem + sculpture installations. Lund was commissioned for the work by the city of Menlo Park Between 1980 and 1985.

Many parts of the poem are visible from satellite: Latitude: 37 degrees 29 minutes 33.8 seconds N and Longitude: 122 degrees 10 minutes 13.3 seconds W. source
